          Innovative Health Systems, established in 1985,  is a free-standing chemical dependency and abuse facility providing confidential treatment to individuals and families with substance-related problems. It offers an introductory level of care for those new to treatment, outpatient rehabilitation and after-care following detoxification or inpatient rehabilitation. The comprehensive buprenorphine therapy program provides prescription Suboxone or Subutex and mandatory participation in specialized group counseling for this population.

Innovative Health Systems offers several program alternatives:

Outpatient Rehabilitation -                                   

  Monday to Friday - 4 hrs./day - 3-5 days/wk

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) -

   Day Treatment - 3 hrs./day - 3-5 days/wk

Non-Intensive Clinic Level of Services -

     Day & Evening Groups - (90 min.), 2-5 days/wk 

Adolescent and Young Adult Program

    Mon. & Wed. Groups 3:30-5:00 plus Individual Counseling by appointment, Parent Group on Tuesdays, 7:00-8:30 PM 

      Latino Track (Spanish & Portuguese) -

Tues. and Thurs. Groups, 5:30 - 7:00 PM with Individual Counseling by appointment

        Individual, Marital and/or Family Counseling are always available by appointment

          IHS is under the direction of Ross Fishman, Ph.D., a certified psychologist and a 37-year veteran in the chemical dependency field. Dr. Fishman, author of Alcohol and Alcoholism (Chelsea House Publications, 1986), is on the affiliate medical staff of Rye (Psychiatric) Hospital Center and a board member of the Westchester Group Psychotherapy Society.   

           Dr. Fishman is a former director of education and training at the  Alcoholism Council of Greater New York, former director of evaluation at the NYC Bureau of Alcoholism Sevices and has served on the faculties of Queens College, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Cornell University Medical College and New York Medical College.

          As a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), Dr. Fishman is qualified to perform DOT evaluations.
